Perhaps we, very privately, hear an internal tribal drummer. Perhaps it is simply because we have arrived at "Middle Age." For whatever reason, we hear Family calling -- and Family is shouting with a strong voice and we feel its constant presence even when we are otherwise engaged. Furthermore, it is not only the Family of the Present, reminding us of the responsibilities of our daily lives; but also, the Family of Yesteryears, reminding us that Life is ancient and wise, with lessons to be learned through thoughtful analyses of generations of experience. Life is indeed old... and upon reflection, we realize both the unity of mankind's shared birth at the beginning of Time and also our responsibility, to ourselves and to our Creator, to live each day to its fullest -- and finally we realize, too, the inevitable end lurking in our Future, the mortality of our existence on Earth as we know it.
Here's to those who came before us, who slew the dragon of Time and faded into the fabric of our quilted History. We hold fast to the promises of that merciful and loving creature named Faith -- who assures us we will greet our ancestors in another Time and Place. Grateful for the prospect of reconnecting, we look forward to strolling along the Eternal Paths in Eden with those we knew and loved and, an awesome thought, with those we hope to meet. Till then, we LIVE.
Here's to our Present as well. Some say that today is a gift called the Present. We agree! How fortunate are we that those loved ones, who are present in our lives today, are indeed like the best gifts we could receive and enjoy! We hope that we bring at least as much Joy and Love to you, our Family, as you do to us. We have learned though Life is full of lemons and finding Peace of Heart is not always easy, when Love is present, great adversities can be overcome. Thus, the support and love of others makes the journey a little less rocky. Our thanks to you, Family!
